Who we are

As a team of technology enthusiasts and founders, we've built multiple successful startups in Hungary, with two of them being acquired by leading software firms globally. Our belief is that there are countless talented individuals in the region who can follow in our footsteps and contribute to fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem in Hungary and the region. To aid these individuals in their journey, we are committed to funding their first steps and sharing our knowledge and experience as their trusted guides.

Our Manifesto

  1. The Central and Eastern European region is home to exceptional talent and startups that are often disregarded by traditional investors who are unwilling to expand here and, as a result, miss out on these opportunities.

  2. Founding a startup that specializes in highly technical products or innovation can be an excellent way to succeed if you're based outside of Silicon Valley, or other major startup hubs. Unlike conventional, product-focused startups, technology-oriented businesses can overcome cultural barriers or network limitations more easily.

  3. At the angel investment stage, many founders may lack familiarity with VC terminology, and may not have a robust network, or the skills to craft an effective pitch. However, these are all things that can be learned or improved along the way. 

  4. Our initial investment provides founders with enough funding to start, but it may not be sufficient to comfortably reach the next stage. Therefore, they may still need to pitch to other angel investors and explore other funding opportunities to secure additional resources as they progress.

  5. As angels, we invest our personal funds with a no-hassle approach that is favorable to the founders, rather than acting as institutional investors.

    Captivate converts website visitors with live video calls. It’s a purpose-built tool for sales-led SaaS to help SDRs close more demos.

    Simple, warehouse-native product analytics.

  • Smapp Labs

    Easy & Affordable AI powered remote insect monitoring.

  • STRT

    STRT is a Hungarian company that offers angel investment opportunities and educational resources, and it's considered one of the most ambitious firms in the country. Its initial public offering received early backing from Cloudbreak Ventures.

  • Easylot

    Easylot is a startup that operates an online B2B marketplace and offers compliance management services, with a specialization in excise goods.

  • SequenceIQ

    SequenceIQ was an early innovator in cloud infrastructure management for big data applications. Its success led to an acquisition by Hortonworks, one of the industry leaders in this space.

  • UpScale

    UpScale is a software agency specializing in tackling complex technological challenges related to containers and microservices. Its impressive list of clients includes some of the top banks in the region, such as OTP.
